Early Morning [0800 - 0900] — All Troubleshooters Report for Duty

No Special Troubleshooters have been selected for a mission this morning.

Morning & Afternoon [0900 - 1600] — Service Firm Positions
All Troubleshooters not assigned a mission should report to their Service Firm for their daily duties, unless specifically assigned a different shift.

Matt Murdock's office will be assigned to defend the most recent Specials accused of treason. He will not be allowed to contact the traitors directly, but he will be given the task of preparing his cases. He has 48 hours to prepare.

Jack Harkness has been selected to plan the entertainment for tonight's Charity Ball, thanks to the popularity of his performances during the Alpha Talent Show a few days ago. When he asks The Computer for help, several specials are assigned to him. Izzy Lightwood will be his event planning assistant and "Stiles" Stilinski will assist in MCing the night's event. Due to their popularity, all Specials will be approached about being auctioned off for dances in order to help raise money by Jack, Izzy and Stiles. They will also be asked if they're willing to take part in specially planned choreographed dances. Dance lessons will be provided for those that require them during the afternoon hours.

Evening [1600 - 2200] — Citizen Improvement
All Alpha citizens are encouraged to better themselves through Alpha’s wide variety of educational, entertainment and cultural opportunities offered each evening. Attending these sanctioned events are not mandatory, but is highly encouraged by The Computer. Citizens choosing not to take advantage of these opportunities, have a growing number of other options available to them in how to spend their hard earned credits and free time.

Tonight’s event will begin at 1800 at the Alpha Museum of Fine Art and will be hosted by The Humanists Alpha Society for the Arts. Tickets to the event are 1000cr and can be bought up until an hour before the event begins. Attendees have been given special permission to wear Old Reckoning clothing for this event only, as long as it is the same color as their clearance level. Specials may notice that many of the Alpha Citizen's outfits have gotten key parts of Old Reckoning clothing wrong, with buttons instead of sequins, for example, or men wearing ties that are much too long and go to their knees. Alpha's Very Special Forces will be present to ensure the safety of those attending.

An entire wing of the museum has been cleared as a makeshift dance floor. In an attached room there are several tables covered in white tablecloths and set with the crystal and china that usually only graces Violet citizen tables. Along the wall is a massive buffet made with real food and including an elaborate ice sculpture. There is a bar in the corner where Alpha's finest spirits are being disbursed freely. For the first hour, the focus is on the food and mingling. The music playing is calming and instrumental. There are some that steal the dancefloor for a slow spin, but the majority of the attendees seem reluctant to move away from the buffet.

And then at approximately 1900, Jack Harkness will take the stage and begin the evening's real entertainment.

Alpha Curfew Restrictions
All Alpha citizens should be in their quarters within the Wagon Wheel by 2200, unless they’ve been given permission from a GREEN or higher clearance level citizen. Sleeping Aid gas is dispelled each night in the Wagon Wheel at 2200 to assist citizens in getting a productive sleeping period.

Confession Booths
There are hundreds of confession booths available around Alpha Complex if a citizen would like to communicate directly with the computer. Please use these confession booths to report mission statuses, report treason or terrorist acts, unregistered mutants, confess your trespasses against Alpha Complex, request propaganda or speak with Your Friend, The Computer, at any time.

Alcide's lips pull into a small smile and he briefly dips his head in acceptance of the compliment. He's always known he wasn't shabby in the looks department. The problem is that he can be too nice, too much of a pushover when it comes to women. He's easy to walk all over and he just keeps letting it happen because when Alcide loves, he loves deeply and wholly. It all makes for some horribly one-sided love affairs in the past. But his looks? He's never had a problem there except for a few awkward teen years. And who didn't have those?

It's nice to know that she thinks he's good people. His smile might grow a bit for a moment before settling back into something more muted. Being told he's good people makes Alcide feel like he's still doing something right, he hasn't sacrificed his morals even though he's pissed off about a lot of things in this strange place.

"Zee's a good kid. I mean, she's not a kid. She's not an adult either." He looks back to Gracie and cants his head in the direction of Cisco. "So is that the guy? The one... with the coffee? I'm guessin' everything's okay there." If it is, then it gives Alcide hope that him and Buffy will be okay too. Maybe they already are.

Gracie can attest that everyone has the awkward teen years. She'd been all knobby knees, frizzy hair and too long limbs for several years. Loving deeply and wholly isn't a bad thing. Gracie would assume it could be an amazing thing when it's shared with the right person.

As far as she can tell, he's doing a lot right.

"That's nice of you to bring her anyway." She goes bright red when he says that and dips her head in a nod. "Yeah, that's the guy." Her grin grows wide and her stomach does the flipping thing that leaves her feeling fizzy. "Things are really good there. This is our first date," she confesses. She probably sounds a lot younger than she is, which has a lot to do with Cisco.

"No anyway about it. She wanted to come, but not alone, so..." He shrugs. It's not like he could have said no to her. And he likes hanging out with her anyway. This is just them hanging out while dressed up and in a room full of other people that Alcide doesn't really know. Basically, they can still have fun either way.

So Gracie and Cisco are here on a date in spite of whatever happened with the coffee between them? Alcide nods slowly at that realization. "That's good. Guess I should meet him sometime. Be a little intimidating so he knows you've got people lookin' out for you."

He looks back at Gracie and runs a hand back through his hair. "My coffee awkward isn't to date point yet... or probably ever. We're shootin' for bein' friends, I guess. Workin' past the awkward."

She nods a little. It makes her opinion of Alcide go even higher, that he would do something he didn't want for a friend.

Despite that, yeah. She'd been a little surprised as well. She smiles, ducking her head at his words then nods. "Yeah. That would be nice." On a whim, she goes up on her toes to brush a kiss against Alcide's cheek. "Thank you."

Her brow furrows as he tells her about his coffee awkward. "Do you want it to get to that point? Date point, I mean."

There are a couple of people here that Alcide has a very big brother feeling toward. Like, literally, a couple, as in Zee and Gracie. He can't explain it. But Alcide has always been prone to feeling however he feels about people pretty quickly. He doesn't usually try to deny it or fight it. It just is.

He likes Buffy in a completely different way. Zee is like a sister. So is Gracie. That leaves him giving a shit about all three of them. So yeah, he lets her kiss his cheek and offers her a small grin and a nod. He'll definitely have to meet Cisco.

As far as Buffy... "I..." He pauses, shoulders lifting in a slow shrug. "It's complicated, I guess." Understatement of the year. "There's somethin' there, yeah. But there's also lots of reasons why there shouldn't be somethin' there."

Gracie will be happy to have him for an adopted big brother. Alcide makes her feel safer in this place, and that's nice.

She appreciates his offer more than he knows. It makes her feel like she's got the beginnings of a family here.

Gracie nods a little as he speaks. "Reasons like what? I mean, if you think discussing it will help."

He isn't sure why it's easy to talk to Gracie, but it is. And at this point he knows that whatever he tells her, it won't end up on her morning radio show like he first feared. Gracie is his friend, and a good one at that. She's good people, just like Derek, Zee and Buffy.

"Reasons like..." He starts. "Like we kind of got messed up with the coffee together the second day I was here, second day we know each other. We're roommates. We work together. And... she's got somethin' waitin' for her back home. Don't know if I can say the same the way I left things, but there was someone for me too... only she'd run off with her ex so... it's complicated."

No. Gracie may not have a problem airing her life out in public, but she's very careful to protect others and keep private what they tell her unless she's got permission to air said gossip. She tries to be a good friend; it's something that she wants to be and she likes Alcide, considers him a friend as well.

She listens, nodding a little as she does. "Okay. Yeah...I can see how all of that would complicate things." She's not going to lie and say that those things aren't difficult. "But maybe with some time, some of those complications can be overcome. You know...if you still want them to be."

"Man, I can hope. But it never seems to turn out that way. Not that it stops me from makin' the same stupid mistakes or jumpin' in head first even though I know there's problems. But history's taught me there's only a mess waitin' for me down that road. Like I can see it takin' formation right in front of my face and it don't mean a damn thing when it comes to how I feel about her." He says with a shake of his head.

He knows he sounds very jaded. But at the same time, he's also hopeful because he does have those feelings for Buffy. Alcide's still a romantic in spite of the way he's been treated by the women in his life. "The heart's... it's gonna do what it's gonna do no matter what I think I should do so it is what it is, right?"

Alcide's words get a sympathetic look from Gracie. He makes her heart hurt and she leans in to give him another quick hug. "I hope things do work out for you this time. You're a good guy, Alcide. You deserve good things." She wants those things for him too, and if she thought she could help him get them, she'd already be over there talking to Buffy. However, if Alcide has talked to her then Gracie knows that she'll probably only make things worse.

He does sound jaded, but he's, apparently, got reason to sound jaded. "I'll keep all my fingers and toes crossed for you," she tells him with a soft smile. "That's the saying anyway: the heart wants what the heart wants." She watches him fondly for a moment. "She's really dumb if she doesn't want you though."

"Hey, if Gracie Cannell says it's so then it must be. You've got that show on the radio and all. I hear you know stuff." The hug is welcome and Alcide returns it. And once again, hugging him is not unlike being hugged by an oversized teddy bear. "I dunno about that. I'm the dummy goin' down the same road I've been down too many times. Don't know what that says about me. But you're pretty damn sweet for sayin' it anyway."

He glances over to Cisco and back to Gracie. "So how mad would he get if you danced one dance with em?"

She can't help but laugh. SHe tries to pull a serious face but she can't help the way suppressed laughter crinkles her eyes and tugs at the corners of her lips. "That's right. I'm in the loop," she nods dramatically. Seriously, Alcide might give the best hugs ever because of the oversized teddy bear factor. "You're not dumb. You're hopeful and that's a good quality."

"Not at all, and if he did, he's not the right guy," she tells him, hooking her arm through Alcide's.
