Daycycle 108 [ September 18 - September 24 ]

daycycle 108

[Sept 18 - Sept 24]

Early Morning [0800 - 0900]All Troubleshooters Report for Duty

There is no Mission assigned to any Specials today.

Morning & Afternoon [0900 - 1600]Service Firm Positions
All Troubleshooters not assigned a mission should report to their Service Firm for their daily duties, unless specifically assigned a different shift.

Death Leopard is back! After nearly having nearly all of it's members hunted down and exterminated after the parade fiasco a few months ago, new leadership has arisen within the secret society and has been secretly recruiting new members hellbent on destruction for destruction's sake. A large number of Death Leopard members work within the Armed Services divison and at approximately 1400 today, a large shipment of weapons will be stolen.

At 1500 Death Leopard members stationed throughout Alpha will cause utter chaos by careening through Alpha in stolen motor cars, blaring loud music and shooting up the place. For the most part, they are not aiming for people, but their goal is to accomplish as much property damage as possible and announce their return. They do not, however, have any qualms at shooting officials clearance level YELLOW or higher. They have several grenades that they will use throughout their reign of terror, tossing them at random store fronts and service firms.

All Troubleshooters will be called on to stop them by any means necessary.

It will later be discovered that during this show of blatant disregard for Alpha Citizen Life, two more shipments of weapons were stolen.

Evening [1600 - 2200]Citizen Improvement
All Alpha citizens are encouraged to better themselves through Alpha’s wide variety of educational, entertainment and cultural opportunities offered each evening. Attending these sanctioned events are not mandatory, but is highly encouraged by The Computer. Citizens choosing not to take advantage of these opportunities, have a growing number of other options available to them in how to spend their hard earned credits and free time.

Tonight’s event will be at 1700 in Meeting Room F, Wagon Wheel Floor 27 and will be hosted by the Volunteer Form Checkers. Help Alpha Complex by volunteering your time to check forms this evening as the scanners in the Housing, Planning & Development sector is down.

Alpha Curfew Restrictions
All Alpha citizens should be in their quarters within the Wagon Wheel by 2200, unless they’ve been given permission from a GREEN or higher clearance level citizen. Sleeping Aid gas is dispelled each night in the Wagon Wheel at 2200 to assist citizens in getting a productive sleeping period.

Confession Booths
There are hundreds of confession booths available around Alpha Complex if a citizen would like to communicate directly with the computer. Please use these confession booths to report mission statuses, report treason or terrorist acts, unregistered mutants, confess your trespasses against Alpha Complex, request propaganda or speak with Your Friend, The Computer, at any time.

For what it's worth, he likes the kid. Now that he's seeing that she's relaxing around him, Tony himself looks a little more relaxed as well and he grins at the comment about the welcome mat. "Yeah, same here. We're trying to get a red carpet added, though. Might help, right?"

He's joking, and the look on his face probably says that along with his tone. Although, hm, maybe that wouldn't be such a bad idea. Considering this whole thing felt like some sort of trap (to him, anyway), the least the Computer could do was give them a better sort of arrival.

"It is. You can get things you need from there, too. You get some money - or what is considered the currency around here - and that's what you'd use for it. In the mornings we report for a morning briefing at 0800, and curfew is 2200 so you have to be in your quarters by that time. Some nights there are things to do in the evening for Citizen Improvement sessions, but a lot of the time you can just wander around." A pause. "To...better yourself, as they tell us."

He adds the last part, as a code to say that that's how the Computer phrases it. Tony himself sometimes prefers to just wander around and do his own thing, but it was up to her to choose what she wanted to do.

She's glad because she might get easily attached. After all, he's the first real face she's seen since she woke up. Maybe she'll be like one of those baby animals that thinks the first face they see is their mother, even if they aren't the same species. Not that Gracie isn't human...but the point here is attachment. She laughs a little at that. "Just keep the flash bulbs and reporters away. That might be a little overwhelming."

It definitely feels like a trap or something else bad. Having a friendly face meet her is the first good thing that's happened since she woke up.

She nods along a little, letting him know that she's listening and absorbing. "I guess it's a good thing I'm a morning person. What happens if you break curfew? Does Dad ground us?" She tugs a strand of her hair, considering the idea of wandering around. "If I'm going to wander, I might ought to leave breadcrumbs." This place seems cavernous and her sense of direction is crap. "So do we do yoga as part of our Citizen Improvement or take Miss Manners classes?"

Yeah, she figured 'they' happened to be the computer just from what she'd seen on the orientation video. She'll probably do a little of both out of curiosity.

Tony's not really the type to get easily attached, but (even if he won't admit it), there's something about Gracie that he already finds endearing. It's not really the way that she had greeted him - really, he had met plenty of people that were starstruck all his life - but maybe it's just that...innocence that he doesn't want the Computer to snuff out with the shitty rules that this place has. It's another reason why he just goes along with the joke, a grin on his face. "Fair enough. We'll hold off on the paparazzi."

As they walk, Tony rubs the back of his neck at her question. "Probably. Honestly, I'm not sure, I have yet to break curfew. Which is shocking, now that I think about it, but...I'd say that grounding is probably a safe bet." He says it lightly, as if it's just another joke, but the glance he gives her is a silent warning that she probably shouldn't try to find out. Not without figuring out a way to keep herself safe, anyway.

"The...improvement stuff varies. The only one I've ever really checked out was an art exhibition. In the SubSectors there's a waterfront, and I go there a lot."

Mainly because it's nice and quiet, and he's able to escape to think or draw schematics, but he keeps that part to himself.

Gracie does get easily attached, but she's still a little starstruck so she will try not to push herself on Tony the way she might someone that was nice to her and not famous. She assumes he has plenty of friends. She is pretty sheltered, pretty lucky and yes, pretty innocent. That he goes along with the joke, makes her relax a little more.

He makes her laugh a little when he says he hasn't broken curfew, but she sobers, nodding a little at that glance. She's picking up what he's putting down. She'll probably be hard pressed to break that rule because he warned her against it. Maybe it helps that she's always been a big sleeper and a morning person.

"I'll check both of those out. Is the art all stuff done by people here?" It doesn't seem like the place that would foster creativity, but what does she know?

Sometimes quiet is good. Everyone needs a little time to think, probably especially here.
