Early Morning [0800 - 0900] — All Troubleshooters Report for Duty
There is no Mission assigned to any Specials today.
Morning & Afternoon [0900 - 1600] — Service Firm Positions
All Troubleshooters not assigned a mission should report to their Service Firm for their daily duties, unless specifically assigned a different shift.
At approximately 1400 today all power within the Wagon Wheel will shut down as part of a Nameless Secret Society Demonstration. The backup generators will be disabled. All citizens within the Wagon Wheel at that time will be stuck. Locked doors will remain locked. Elevators will stop. Lights will go out. Many opportunists will use this to create pure chaos. This demonstration will go on for the next five hours.
Evening [1600 - 2200] — Citizen Improvement
All Alpha citizens are encouraged to better themselves through Alpha’s wide variety of educational, entertainment and cultural opportunities offered each evening. Attending these sanctioned events are not mandatory, but is highly encouraged by The Computer. Citizens choosing not to take advantage of these opportunities, have a growing number of other options available to them in how to spend their hard earned credits and free time.
Tonight’s event will be at 2000 in Meeting Room B, Wagon Wheel Floor 25 and will be hosted by the Spontaneous Loyaly Demonstration Organizers. Learn how to put on a spontaneous demonstration in order to show your loyalty to the computer and Alpha Complex in an effective and memorable way.
Alpha Curfew Restrictions
All Alpha citizens should be in their quarters within the Wagon Wheel by 2200, unless they’ve been given permission from a GREEN or higher clearance level citizen. Sleeping Aid gas is dispelled each night in the Wagon Wheel at 2200 to assist citizens in getting a productive sleeping period.
Confession Booths
There are hundreds of confession booths available around Alpha Complex if a citizen would like to communicate directly with the computer. Please use these confession booths to report mission statuses, report treason or terrorist acts, unregistered mutants, confess your trespasses against Alpha Complex, request propaganda or speak with Your Friend, The Computer, at any time.

After the lights come back on, Buffy actually does head to the citizen improvement. She wants to know what the computer considers a spontaneous demonstration. She's not a front row kind of girl though so she'll hover around the back, listening and giving the attendees as much attention as the program.
Once that's over, she makes her way back to her room, unaware that she's got a new room mate. She's met Holtz before, but they haven't really had a chance to talk. She doesn't know that Derek is staying there at all.
Roommate Thread
The whole way, he's half there and half not; lost in his own head trying to decipher where the glitches would've come from and why the hell he was a monster in them. It doesn't make sense to have such specific memories, he thinks, but he tries not to question it for now. It's something to think about later. When he's alone. Which, he assumes he will be, at least for a little bit, when he gets to his room. 1104.
Derek passes several rooms numbered in ascending order before he reaches his and with a heavy sigh, pushes the door open and steps inside, grateful to be able to lay down and sort through his head to figure out what's real and what isn't and why his whole...being feels...well. Weak.
He stops short, blinking, when he sees the woman already in there and he turns his head to look at the door he's just opened as if to make sure he's got the right room. "Uh..."
Derek knows he'll have roommates, but he assumes they'll be, you know, other men.
Roommate Thread
She'd made that same faulty assumption. Sorry? After everything that had happened that day, Buffy needed the rest. She's bruised and scraped over what feels like every single inch of her body. She's got a black eye, bruised knuckles and she's trying to remember if this is what a broken rib feels like or if she's just human.
For her part, Buffy is convinced the glitches are real. This place...for all she knows it's the work of a demon. Yes, she's been here a couple of days, but she hasn't ruled that out.
She pushes herself up from a prone position on the bed, wincing as she does. She has loads of newfound respect for Xander, Giles and their fighting abilities. "Hey," she greets him. "I'm guessing you're a new room mate? I'm Buffy and I'd get up, but I think I've been hit by a train."

WELCOME TO THE NAVY SEALS BUFFY
The Very Special Forces however, were not called upon until intel came down that something illegal might be happening on the 17th Floor. Internal Security. Steve was the first lieutenant to request to lead the mission and his request was immediately granted.
Lydia, Barry and Felicity worked on that floor and he'd already seen two of them reaching out on the network. There was no time to waste.
He'd selected ten Troubleshooters of RED and ORANGE rank to join him in this mission, one of whom was Buffy, and they geared up: shields, flashlights, bullet-proof vests, night-vision goggles, the whole nine yards. Two members of the team were specifically tasked with guarding two portable generators and their light towers. Once their mission was over, he had no intentions of leaving the citizens there in the dark.
He's also specifically picked Buffy to come along. She was assigned to this unit, so Steve knows she handle herself, but given the power outage, he'd really rather not risk it.
"Let's roll out." Armed Services was northwest of the Wagon Wheel. Time to make their way over.
no subject
However, when Steve calls her back, she goes without any idea of what to expect. It turns out not all of this stuff is foreign. Buffy turns all the equipment over, giving it a confused look. "Are you sure this isn't The Initiative?" she asks at one point as she plays with the night vision goggles. "Do these make me look fat?" Yeah, she's got the goggles on and is looking at Steve. Honestly, she really does know her stuff, though he probably doesn't believe it right now.
She slides the vest over her head, gets it tangled up in her hair (velcro plus long hair=head-cro....or something like that). "Seriously," she says from the depths of the vest, "I usually just wear a cute top and heels to fight evil."
She also chimes 'rolling' in response to 'let's roll out'.

Later that evening, despite the bruises and battle scars he incurred during the outage, he shows up at citizen improvement. It's important to the computer that he show his face, but it's also important that he learn what's acceptable and approved by the computer. It's the only way he has to defend the people here.
Night-time
She leaves HQ with Gucci on her heels and makes her way to the Wagon Wheel, relieved that things seem to have died down quite a bit. All the same, she's grateful for the ULTRAVIOLET laser barrel she's got on her laser gun and she's decided to just leave it there indefinitely, because she really wishes she'd had it earlier in the day, just in case.
It doesn't take her long to get to the GREEN clearance area and Lydia keeps her head high and her badge hidden in a fold of her jumpsuit as she gives flirtatious smile after flirtatious smile to checkpoint guards who are all too happy to wave her past when they're on the receiving end of attention from someone they believe to be a higher-up. Lydia lets herself into Matt's room and drops down on his bed. He's not back yet, but she doubts he'll be much longer. He's taken to going to the citizen improvement offerings lately and she knows it's important to his career and the goals he has within it, so she just settles there, propped up with one elbow as she sprawls with Gucci on the floor beside her. He'll get here when he gets here. Until then, she'll just scroll through the PDC to pass the time.
Re: Night-time
It's no secret that Lydia has been working toward being promoted to YELLOW. It would make her life easier in many ways. It would also make Matt's life easier because neither of them would have to worry about being arrested for treason or something else like that. He worries about her wandering the halls, but then that's a common enough concern for him.
Matt doesn't blame her for not wanting to go to Citizen Improvement. It's dreary and uninspiring. There are many things he'd rather be doing with his time, but it's also an important thing for him to attend. When he heads to his room that night, he's tired (it's been an eventful day). He toys with the idea of sending Lydia a message or maybe going down to HQ once he's had a chance to clean up. He's got no idea about the GREEN jumpsuit so when he opens the door and steps inside, he's surprised to smell and hear someone else inside. The mechanical movements and the scent clue him in to the fact that it's probably Lydia and Gucci, but that doesn't make any sense.
"Lydia?" he says, his voice full of all that doubt and confusion.

Maybe, just maybe, they might destroy some of the comm panels they find, see if it puts a kink in the overall computer system.
Adam has a small flashlight from work that he leaves off for the most part. But if they really need it, they have it.
"What do you think happened?" He asks Ronan.
no subject
It is hard to see in the dark, but Ronan also likes it. This is one of the few times in the complex that he doesn't feel like he's being watched by someone. For the most part, Ronan lets Adam go where he wants because Adam has a plan and Ronan just wants to cause some destruction and get into some places they shouldn't be.
That absolutely works for Ronan. Destruction is a favorite with him.
It's a good thing to have just in case, but by now their vision has probably adjusted enough for most things.
"My guess? Secret society did something to screw everything up." He sounds delighted by that idea because he is.

"Lydia?" Was this some kind of attack? This was actually the same closet that she'd been cornered in before. He continued moving down the narrow closet to the door, half expecting to run into someone lying in wait for him. Instead, his hand fell on the door handle just as she called out again. Seconds later there was the sound of crashing glass.
"Lydia!" The door swung open - luckily it wasn't one that was usually locked and he stumbled out into the darkness, smashing into a desk. He could hear the sound of crunching glass, but with the lights out he couldn't make out anything in the darkness. "Lydia, where are you?"
no subject
"I'm here!" she calls back, grabbing onto what she's pretty sure is one of the many lab tables scattered throughout the room. A metal stool crashes to the floor and Lydia curses loudly, having walked right into it, smacking her shin into the metal bar where normally her feet would rest. That's going to bruise. "I'm here, I'm near the main door. It's locked. I can't open it," she explains.
Wildly, Lydia finds herself wondering if this is what it feels like for Matt all the time and she feels sick to her stomach with guilt for letting the thought cross her mind, because it's so insensitive. "Barry...there's something happening outside. It's loud and it's coming our way, like a riot or something."
She's still groping around the tables as she goes, leading herself back toward the original table she'd been working on. She nearly starts to cry with excitement when her fingers brush against her PDC and she picks it up, turning it on, and squints against the sudden bright blueish white glow.

This boy, the one she's been assigned to room with, isn't one of them. She hasn't talked to him much even though he looks approachable. Sulking is very unbecoming of her but she hasn't quite been able to help herself.
She looks up when the door opens, in the middle of putting fashionable rips in her jumpsuit. Blue misses her skirts and her jeans, all the clothing that she's made her own. She offers a tentative grin. "Hey."

Cisco makes his way into the room, closing the door behind himself, and he drops down onto the bed. "This place is exhausting, I swear to God," he groans. At least he has a decent amount of sleep under his belt this time, which is more than he can say for the night before. This is much better. Which isn't saying much, but still. "It's like if you're not physically exhausted they just find a way to make you bored as hell until you feel more tired than you have any right to be, you know? I mean, right?"

Morning Briefing
4 days so far without coffee.
The caffeine withdrawal was hitting and it strikes hard. Despite not being assigned any missions yet — and she crosses her fingers that nothing will be assigned to her today — Felicity stands next to the sludge dispenser and just stares at it longingly, holding up the line.
Maybe it wasn't as bad as it looks, even if the liquid seems a little ... curdled. Slowly, Felicity grabs a cup and slides it under the dispenser and pushes a button. Kkkhssst. Pssssttttttttt. Blub. Blub. Blub. The cup was warm when she holds it in her hands and heads towards the seating area. That must be a good sign right? She read somewhere that you don't taste things as well when they're hot. Or was that when they're cold? And it smells ... like ... tires? That can't be right—
She's not paying attention to where she's going as she thinks, and her eyes are focused on the little centimeter of rim space between her coffee and the edge of her cup, trying not to spill. It was almost like a slow motion disaster waiting to happen in front of Derek's eyes. An ORANGE troubleshooter in the row in front of Derek had just gotten up, his hand on the back of his chair like he was about to push it back in just a second so he could get out — and Felicity was just two to three feet away. If she doesn't look up soon, her peripheral vision isn't going to catch the movement and she's going to run herself and her hot coffee straight into that guy.
no subject
"Miss? Hey, miss, you're…miss," he tries.
Fuck it, she can't hear him and call him stupid, but she's cute and he imagines that scalding a higher clearance level is probably some form of treason. There's kind of a shortage of eye candy around here, he might a well take the hit and keep this one out of prison...or wherever they hold the treasonous clones. If they hold them at all...
Derek gets to his feet quickly, muttering hasty apologies as he makes his way back to the aisle, just in time to stop directly between she and the man in ORANGE she's seconds from colliding with. So she collides with Derek instead and now he's wearing the coffee, hissing from the initial temperature of it as it soaks into his ill-fitted jumpsuit.

Technical Services Section - Orientation for Izzy
As he waits for the new Special to complete the video orientation and sign his or her paperwork, Steve glances around the room. He hasn't returned to Technical Services since he woke up in Alpha over three months ago.
When he finally does see her, Steve gives her his full attention. The GREEN bureaucrat on duty is handing over her standard Troubleshooter equipment and he gives her a polite nod from across the room.

She can almost feel the remnant of the bracelet that was her whip on her wrist, as if she wore it so often that she isn't complete without it. That's not real either. It isn't easy for the young woman to decide on what actually is real at the moment.
What does Isabelle know for sure?
Honestly, she can't trust much of anything automatically other than the fact that there was no way in hell that she was going to be able to watch that damned video anymore. Her head hurts and she sort of feels like she's flitting through some sort of dream. Izzy barely remembers what she did after she was released from the room with the video. Her movements are more of a shuffle than what she feels is normal and Izzy can't help but feel a distinct distaste for her footwear as she moves, just sort of letting whoever is in charge guide her along in her confused state.
The new face that Izzy notices, only because of the nod that he gives her, really...is more friendly than the others she's seen....it stands out from the others that have sort of blurred together at this point. Taking the items given to her, and not feeling a sense of familiarity or ownership over any of it, Izzy walks carefully toward the friendly face pausing only once she's in front of the taller man. She can feel a familiar urge to put forth what feels like a normal confidence, but everything she's just been through...she doesn't quite muster it up as she looks up at him. "I'm going to assume you were waiting on me....I'm Izzy." She shifts the items she was given so that she can offer her hand for a shake.

Normally Steve would give his full name, but right now, it felt right to keep things on a first-name basis. He wants to keep it casual and comfortable for Izzy's transition, but frankly, Steve needs all the help he can get in that department. Nothing about their environment is going to feel that way.
"A little over three months ago, I went through the same orientation video and received the same instructions about who I am and why I'm here. I'm sure you have questions, I certainly did."
Steve glances behind Izzy for a moment. It's clear that the other employees aren't used to having someone like him here, and he doesn't particularly want to talk in front of them either. He takes a step to the side and gestures towards the door.
"I'd like to give you a tour of the Complex, if you're amenable, and as we walk, perhaps I can try to answer as many questions as I know the answers to."
Given her recent awakening, the most interesting thing about Steve might be that he's actually giving her an option, unlike any of the previous parts of orientation. She was required to watch the video, to sign the forms, to pick up her equipment. Steve on the other hand, isn't telling her that she must go with him. He's asking.

Technical Services Section - Orientation for Oliver
Technical Services had pinged him on his PDC just a few minutes ago that a new clone was about to sign his paperwork. He'd rushed over from the Wagon Wheel immediately.
For some reason, he's expecting another woman, probably because he'd just spent a good chunk of time with Izzy. But instead, when the doors open and the new arrival is guided towards the GREEN bureaucrat with all his Troubleshooter equipment, Steve sees a very strong-looking man.
He gives him a polite nod from across the room. Whenever he's done signing, Oliver should be directed to come towards Steve.
no subject
A person.
Oliver had never been a true soldier. The unit he'd masqueraded in had been nothing more than barely civilized brutes. But he could recognize one when he saw one and that's what he saw here. Discipline. Maybe that meant a sense of justice, but it could as easily mean someone who followed the party line. Who only followed orders.
He slid into his Oliver persona and offered the man a wry smile and a hand. "Oliver Queen. I think."
