"More than all right," she assures him. She reaches up to run a hand over his shoulder, brushing an imaginary piece of lint off his suit. Gracie is here for the same reason. She remembers how awful Cisco looked lying in that bed, how awful Tony looked. She reported on the incident. It's an important cause.
Gracie doesn't know any of the alphas by name, but she's taken to chit chatting with them in the hallways, to waving and saying hello as they pass. She knows that there's a Special Alpha divide, but Gracie doesn't look at it that way either. They're all stuck here and just because the alphas don't have any memory of a different life doesn't mean they're any less. The Computer is the enemy here. The Computer is the one that puts these ridiculous rules on them.
Gracie wants this place to be better and she believes it can be better as well. She's got no idea of where efforts should be put, but she does think that this is a start. This is fun and she thinks it's a good start to improving relationships between Alphas and Specials. It's the same reason that she's signed up for the auction. Besides that, she likes meeting people and she doesn't care if they're alphas or specials.
The compliment doesn't go unnoticed. It makes her cheeks flush a little and at this rate, her smile is never going to leave her face. She takes his hand. "Are you kidding? Like anyone would turn down a chance to dance with the most handsome guy here."

She's giddy from all of this. Really.
