So he tries not to think too much of any of it, even if he manages to blurt out “Good, then it’s a date,” before he realizes what he’s just said and his eyes widen before he scrunches his eyebrows. “I mean … you know … not like-“ Before he smiles and shakes his head and resigns himself to a blustering “… you know what I mean.”
And yes, please, ask him a question he can give you a straight answer to.
