Daycycle 110 [ October 2 - October 8]

daycycle 110

[Oct 2 - Oct 8]

Early, Early Morning [0400 - 0800]
Lydia Martin will be woken up at 0400 when a squad of Internal Security Gray Ops come to arrest Samantha Groves for treason. Root will be led away at gun point and Lydia will be immediately taken into IntSec for questioning. She will be grilled for the next four hours on Root's activites and her own loyalty. She will not be released until the Early Morning briefing.

Early Morning [0800 - 0900]All Troubleshooters Report for Duty

It is announced that there will be a mandatory ceremony for all Troubleshooters this evening in the Commissary. Not attending is treason.

There is no Mission assigned to any Specials Today.

Morning & Afternoon [0900 - 1600]Service Firm Positions
All Troubleshooters not assigned a mission should report to their Service Firm for their daily duties, unless specifically assigned a different shift.

At 1200 explosives planted by the Frankenstien Destroyers will detonate in the Bot Processing division. The goal is to destroy as many bots as processing equipment as possible. These explosions will cause significant damage to the division and temporarily lock down part of R&D. Troubleshooters will be called to the scene to help clean up and assist citizens caught in the blast.

Evening [1600 - 2200]Citizen Improvement
All Alpha citizens are encouraged to better themselves through Alpha’s wide variety of educational, entertainment and cultural opportunities offered each evening. Attending these sanctioned events are not mandatory, but is highly encouraged by The Computer. Citizens choosing not to take advantage of these opportunities, have a growing number of other options available to them in how to spend their hard earned credits and free time.

Tonight’s event will be at 1800 in the Commissary and will be hosted by Internal Security. This ceremony is to recognize the hard work and dedication of the Troubleshooters who have gone above and beyond in their service to Alpha Complex. The following specials will be promoted a clearance level for their work: Jillian Holtzmann, promoted to ORANGE for her work in explosives, Lydia Martin, promoted to YELLOW for her work in hygeine, and Matt Murdock, promoted to GREEN for his work in Personal Legal Defensive Practices. A mandatory round of clapping will be held for three minutes for each promotion.

Alpha Curfew Restrictions
All Alpha citizens should be in their quarters within the Wagon Wheel by 2200, unless they’ve been given permission from a GREEN or higher clearance level citizen. Sleeping Aid gas is dispelled each night in the Wagon Wheel at 2200 to assist citizens in getting a productive sleeping period.

Confession Booths
There are hundreds of confession booths available around Alpha Complex if a citizen would like to communicate directly with the computer. Please use these confession booths to report mission statuses, report treason or terrorist acts, unregistered mutants, confess your trespasses against Alpha Complex, request propaganda or speak with Your Friend, The Computer, at any time.

Adam hasn't done any travelling in his life. It's just been in the past few months that he's even left his home town to go away to college. He's never heard of Beacon Hills. And what he knows of California is all the stereotypical California things that everyone assumes about California.

"Henrietta, Virginia." Vicariously, he doesn't expect her to know about Henrietta. "It's a long way from California. Are you close to the ocean?"

"I don't know if I've heard of it," she admits, "but it has been a long time since I lived in Virginia. My family and I moved around a lot, so I'm familiar with the state, just not with the city."

Because, to Allison, she just assumes she hasn't heard of Henrietta because she was five the last time she lived in Virginia. It could be a memory thing, as far as she's concerned.

"Kind of? I mean, it was a drive away - like an hour or two, depending on the traffic, so yes it was close. Just not close enough to be there constantly. And Beacon Hills is in Northern California, so the beaches we had nearby were pretty cold. Probably nothing of what you imagine when you think 'California,' in terms of the weather at the beach, but...just as beautiful." A small smile crosses Allison's lips as she speaks, and after a moment she shakes her head slightly as if a sudden realization hits her. "Sorry, that was probably a longer answer than you expected."

He can't tell if it's fondness or nostalgia that makes her talk about Beacon Hills the way she does. Either way, he can tell that there's something there, something more than just describing a place by listing facts about it. But Adam can imagine the chill of the beach, the beautiful scenery. Something worth driving for every now and again just like he and Ronan sometimes drive up into the mountains in Henrietta.

"No, it's okay. I wish Henrietta made me smile like that too." But it doesn't. Not because it isn't beautiful. Adam's life there had just been... made for leaving. He's only ever lived in Henrietta until recently.

"Why did your family move around so much?" He asks.

"Ironically, Beacon Hills is easily the craziest place I've lived in - this place not included," she adds quietly with a smirk, thankful that he didn't mind her ramble, "but...it was the first place that was really home, so I guess I'm more fond of it than I've ever realized."

Which isn't something that she could have expected or even predicted, all things considered. After all, that's where her mother died. Where her aunt died. Where her family fell apart - where she herself died - so she probably shouldn't be so fond of it.

But, Beacon Hills had been where she met Scott. Lydia. Stiles. Isaac. She met all the friends that became her family, and they had been home far more than that crazy town.

"My dad had a government contract, and sold weapons." That's the easy explanation; she doesn't think 'he was a werewolf hunter' would go over all that great. "We'd stay in some towns for a few months at a time, but never too long."

"I get that." Adam says with a nod. Maybe he doesn't feel that way himself, but he can understand it. In a way, the Barns is more of a home now than Henrietta itself has ever been. That's all Ronan though. It's Ronan's fault. If Ronan were on the moon then the moon would be home.

"Sometimes the people help with that too. I'm lucky to have someone from Henrietta here. I know some people are here without anyone they knew before." And that's something Adam has a hard time imagining, being here without Ronan, much less entirely alone.

It sounds so legit that Adam doesn't blink an eye at the government contract story. He knows that what he's about to say will come off as strange, but he says it anyway. "I would have loved that, going anywhere but where I've always been. Although I guess I can see the downsides. The grass is always greener and all that."
