Daycycle 102 [ August 7 - August 13]

daycycle 102

[Aug 7 - Aug 13]

Early Morning [0800 - 0900]All Troubleshooters Report for Duty
There is no Mission assigned to any Specials today.

Morning & Afternoon [0900 - 1600]Service Firm Positions
All Troubleshooters not assigned a mission should report to their Service Firm for their daily duties, unless specifically assigned a different shift.

At 1200 today, a list of high-ranking non-registered mutants will be released to the public. These officials will scramble to account for their tardiness in registering to the Computer and will shortly after be assigned Troubleshooters as body guards against retaliating Anti-Mutant members. All assigned troubleshooters are to keep their charges alive until shift change at 0700 on Day 103, using whatever means necessary. Permission temporarily granted to travel to restricted areas within the clearance level of their charge. Both bodyguards should be present at all times with few exceptions.

Barry Allen & Jillian Holtzmann - Otto Vaska, Stasis - can suspend time briefly, INDIGO, Central Processing
Steve Rogers & Parker - Xeno Fane, Charm - can make people like them, BLUE, Production, Logistics & Commissary
Blue Sargent & Morgana - Priskilla Linos, Polymorphism - can shapeshift, BLUE, Housing, Planning & Development
Cisco Ramon & Stiles Stilinski - Gabi Aline, Adrenaline Control - can control adrenaline levels in others, BLUE, Technical Services
Root & Tony Stark - Sol Sisel, Desolidity - can walk through walls, INDIGO, Research & Development

[ Player note: Characters may notice that any mutant abilities they once possessed may have a very weak showing when in close proximity to Alpha mutants. Mission success or failure is up to the players.]

Evening [1600 - 2200]Citizen Improvement
All Alpha citizens are encouraged to better themselves through Alpha’s wide variety of educational, entertainment and cultural opportunities offered each evening. Attending these sanctioned events are not mandatory, but is highly encouraged by The Computer. Citizens choosing not to take advantage of these opportunities, have a growing number of other options available to them in how to spend their hard earned credits and free time.

Tonight’s event will be at 1800 in the Commissary and will be hosted by the Alpha Chess Club. Come participate in the biggest (and only) Chess Tournament sanctioned by the Computer.

Alpha Curfew Restrictions
All Alpha citizens should be in their quarters within the Wagon Wheel by 2200, unless they’ve been given permission from a GREEN or higher clearance level citizen. Sleeping Aid gas is dispelled each night in the Wagon Wheel at 2200 to assist citizens in getting a productive sleeping period.

Confession Booths
There are hundreds of confession booths available around Alpha Complex if a citizen would like to communicate directly with the computer. Please use these confession booths to report mission statuses, report treason or terrorist acts, unregistered mutants, confess your trespasses against Alpha Complex, request propaganda or speak with Your Friend, The Computer, at any time.

'A few months,' she replied automatically as she watched Priskilla scowl at them and scribble something down. 'I think at least, the time keeping is different to what I'm used too and there's a distinct lack of stars in the complex.' she added after a moment more of staring at their charge before her eyes drifted back to Blue.

'Have you been here long?' she wished she had paid more attention in the past couple of months but between learning about technology, work, roommates and all the other nonsense that came with this place she simply hadn't branched out as much as she might like.

Blue's noticed the lack of stars, too. Being unable to look up at the starry sky at night is depressing. There's light pollution in Henrietta but since she started travelling with Gansey and Henry across America, she's seen some of the prettiest night skies in the middle of the countryside.

"Days," she answers with a frown. Glancing at Priskilla, she drops her voice to a whisper. "Already counts as too long."

Morgana let out a small huff of amusement and nodded her head slightly in agreement.

Part of her wondered how much she could say around their charge that wouldn't get back to their friend, Computer, but another part of her thought that surely if this woman was magical, a mutant in some way and the computer didn't know she was good at keeping secrets.

But she'd probably sell them out in a hot minute. It probably wasn't worth pushing too far.

'I never did picture myself much of a farmer before now, but here we are watching the flock, and at my station I mind the plants and the little robots that care for them.' out of the corner of her eye she caught a glare from Priskilla. 'What do you do?' she asked, wishing they could convince their charge to go for another walk. It was stuffy in this office, her skin felt hot even pressed against the cold steel door. Maybe the lack of break was just getting to her.

Her lips curve upward at Morgana's amusement. Someone else who gets it. Blue can appreciate that. Not that she'd say so aloud. Although it's only ben a couple of days, Blue's starting to learn the way of things around here. Not everyone here is on the same side of... of whatever the hell is going on here.

Blue's ability is something subtle. It's something that only people with talents of their own might notice. If they spend enough time around her, they might notice the way their abilities seem amplified. Gwenllian had called her a mirror. It's as fitting a description as any. Or at least that's how she had been before finding herself here.

"Me?" Blue asked, glancing at Morgana to make certain that she's asking her and not Priskilla. "Sewage reclamation, which somehow translates to glorified babysitter. You?"

'Hydroponics, hence, playing farmer. I must say, I'm not sure that being a Lady gives me the qualifications to tell someone if their wheat is grown good and proper.' she shrugged, deciding instead of standing for the next however many hours she might as well sit, and dragged a chair from the other side of the room to her spot in front of the door.

'Sorry about the sewage. That's awful.' her nose wrinkled as she thought about it. 'What about before? Blue is an interesting name.'

That doesn't sound like such a bad option, though she's not entirely sure how hydroponics translates to keeping an eye on Priskilla either. It's not as if either of their assigned jobs prepare them for bodyguard doing. Actually, there's very little in Blue's life that prepares her for this.

"It's not so bad. I'd rather be working with rivers but the science behind it is still interesting," she admits with a shrug. When it comes to potential jobs, she'd rather do something to help than something frivolous. "I also don't think my name's 'interesting'. It's no different from any other."

'It's not usual where I'm from is all, I didn't mean anything by it.' she says, quite gently all the while trying not to look too confused as she wondered what science could be behind the sewage system. She hated not knowing too much.

'Though I often get the impression my name isn't always too common either, at least not around here.'

It isn't necessarily Morgana's curiosity that Blue has a problem with. She's heard similar questions and statements her whole life. Children can be particularly mean at times, especially to little girls with unusual names, no fathers, and psychics for mothers. Blue is used to being on the defense more often than not.

She doesn't apologize for her prior tone, but it dos lighten as she continues to talk. "I knew a couple of Morgans in school."
