Early Morning [0800 - 0900]All Troubleshooters Report for Duty
There is no Mission assigned to any Specials today.

All Troubleshooters not assigned a mission should report to their Service Firm for their daily duties, unless specifically assigned a different shift.

At 1200 today, a list of high-ranking non-registered mutants will be released to the public. These officials will scramble to account for their tardiness in registering to the Computer and will shortly after be assigned Troubleshooters as body guards against retaliating Anti-Mutant members. All assigned troubleshooters are to keep their charges alive until shift change at 0700 on Day 103, using whatever means necessary. Permission temporarily granted to travel to restricted areas within the clearance level of their charge. Both bodyguards should be present at all times with few exceptions.

[ Player note: Characters may notice that any mutant abilities they once possessed may have a very weak showing when in close proximity to Alpha mutants. Mission success or failure is up to the players.]

Evening [1600 - 2200]Citizen Improvement
All Alpha citizens are encouraged to better themselves through Alpha’s wide variety of educational, entertainment and cultural opportunities offered each evening. Attending these sanctioned events are not mandatory, but is highly encouraged by The Computer. Citizens choosing not to take advantage of these opportunities, have a growing number of other options available to them in how to spend their hard earned credits and free time.

Tonight’s event will be at 1800 in the Commissary and will be hosted by the Alpha Chess Club. Come participate in the biggest (and only) Chess Tournament sanctioned by the Computer.

Alpha Curfew Restrictions
All Alpha citizens should be in their quarters within the Wagon Wheel by 2200, unless they’ve been given permission from a GREEN or higher clearance level citizen. Sleeping Aid gas is dispelled each night in the Wagon Wheel at 2200 to assist citizens in getting a productive sleeping period.

Confession Booths
There are hundreds of confession booths available around Alpha Complex if a citizen would like to communicate directly with the computer. Please use these confession booths to report mission statuses, report treason or terrorist acts, unregistered mutants, confess your trespasses against Alpha Complex, request propaganda or speak with Your Friend, The Computer, at any time.

The flushed heat that rises into Adam's cheeks is so obvious, he's sure. He's certain his skin has turned a deep rose hue at the trajectory of this conversation. The funny thing is, it's not just Felicity's fault. They're both stumbling their way through it in different ways.

Especially when Adam answers the 'tools' comment with, "I have tools." Way to go there, Adam. Good job. Because now his mind is thinking about tools that have nothing to do with hammers.

Still with the blushing. Still with the awkward.

"Uhm. I mean tools like hammers and wrenches and drills." Drills. Drilling. Drilling all the things. Damn it.

Adam takes a deep breath to try to find some kind of cool, to try to salvage any of whatever can still be salvaged here. "I haven't run into Parker yet. But I think Ronan has." Ronan had mentioned Parker, after all. "He did a job with her or something. I can't remember. It's been awhile. You know how they have those assignments each day."

[ ooc: last post should have said "Roy" not "Ray" ]

It had to be the hallway lighting they used at night, combined with the reflection from their red jumpsuits that transforms Adam's face into a very healthy shade of red. Because Felicity knows there was absolutely no way he was blushing right now. Not because of her. She never makes anyone blush.

Except herself. She blushes a lot, given the words that just come tumbling out of her mouth, and after that comment from Adam about how he has tools, she was definitely start to feel warmth in her cheeks.

"That's um ... great. Drills and wrenches and hammers are ... great tools. I'll uhm, be sure to knock on your door if I ever need someone to drill, or hammer or screw..." She blinks for a second and the heat really rushes to her face as Felicity realizes she needs to add a noun to that sentence asap. "... myyyyyy ... bookshelves."

Felicity doesn't even have bookshelves.

Should she just run for it? At this point, that seems safer than actually continuing this conversation. She takes a step to the side, closer to her door and further from this terribly attractive ... Adam.

"I think I met your roommate yesterday, actually," she says, taking another step. "I got lost outside of the Wagon Wheel, and he um, walked me back to my room. Speaking of which, my roommate probably really needs me, because that's normal, so I'm just gonna-" She points to her door, which was literally a few feet away. "Go ... find her."

There's a silent moment before Felicity all but runs the remaining four feet to her door, opens it, and shuts it behind her.

right? such cute. much adorbs.

Oh man, this just keeps getting worse. Ronan would have a field day with this. So would Blue. Although he isn't sure Blue would rib him about it as much as Ronan would. Adam has a tendency to stumble over everything with girls he thinks are pretty, Blue included. And therein lie old wounds that, while healed, sometimes still rise to the surface.

Ronan would just laugh at him, at the way Adam's skin flushes even more and he forgets to breathe when Felicity continues on with drill, hammering and screwing. It's like a roller coaster that's quickly sped upward to its peak. There's no power in the universe that could stop it from going down again. Once Adam's mind had started going to that place, nothing could stop him from ending up in the gutter and staying there for a bit. Now everything sounds like it has innuendo and double entendre to it.

Adam stares at Felicity, slack jawed, reminding himself to breathe. Somehow it's the echo of the word bookshelves that snaps him out of it. Bookshelves. Bookshelves. Think about bookshelves. "Yeah, bookshelves. Reading is good."

Horrible, horrible save, Adam. Not so great job.

In fact, he did such a good job that she's almost literally running away from him. Really, if anyone is watching, computer included, they all much be laughing at him. Adam's life is usually something akin to a sci-fi fantasy drama. Right now, left alone in the hallway after meeting Felicity Smoak, he's playing at a dramady, heavy on the comedy.

Reading is good are the last words she remembers him saying as Felicity stands, back against her own door, breathing heavily.

Adam Parrish. She's already dreading how much eye contacting she'll be avoiding the next time she bumps into him because to Felicity, all of that awkward was completely her fault.

At least he got to confirm that she lived in 1103. There was no doubt about that now.
