Daycycle 18 [ JAN 26-30]
MORNING
Matt Farrell will be woken up at 0400 when a squad of Internal Security Gray Ops come to arrest Jason Wilcox for treason. He is led away at gunpoint and any requests for information will be denied by higher level officers, claiming it’s classified. Any digging done outside of sanctioned channels will reveal that he was believed to have been stealing medical equipment and supplies.
There is a new briefing officer in place this morning. She speaks in a sugary sweet voice and smiles often. Rumor has it she was on the execution squad that finished of the worst traitors in Death Leopard.
Troubleshooter Team: Parker and R. Lynch
Mission: These fine recruits need practice in small unit tactics. You will each have a team of three recruits and will lead them as they are pitted against each other in small unit tactical skirmishes. You’re units are to engage in three to five armed skirmishes against each other. You will take note of each recruit’s accuracy, obedience and courage under fire. Fill out these forms indicating each recruit’s performance and turn them in, along with surviving recruits, at the nearest Vulture Squadron barracks. The Troubleshooter with the most survivors will be awarded a credit reward.
All other Troubleshooters: You are to report to your Service Firm positions for the day, until called on for Troubleshooter duty.
Specials will remain in their temporary quarters until repairs are completed on their RED quarters.

Intel: Free Enterprise has begun manufacturing weapons for sale to the highest secret society bidders. Any information about these weapons should be reported immediately.
AFTERNOON
There is a high-level game of PowerGolf being held this afternoon in the Tech Services sub-sector Delta with many BLUE and VIOLET clearance citizens. The game will be broadcast across the Complex. Rumor has it that Free Enterprise will offer any citizen the ability to place bets on the outcome. Increased security is apparent and all RED Troubleshooters will be pulled to work crowd control and police the game.
EVENING
The Alpha City Library is hosting a special reading of it’s high-clearance level novels this evening in a desperate attempt to attract interest and sponsorship from the Alpha Complex masses. The book chosen is so notoriously racy that it has been forbidden to most clearance levels for nearly a decade. There is a small fee to attend, but drinks and food will be provided.
Sleep aid gas will be expelled into the barracks this evening at 2100.

"Always a good time," he tells her. He knows how to make a pretty good molotov cocktail, but Parker probably knows how to make a more advanced bomb. In any case, she seems to know what she's doing so he'll follow her lead for the most part.
He definitely follows. This is shaping up to be a pretty damn good day despite the weirdness of it. Maybe it hasn't sunk in yet that he's stuck here or maybe he's just busy not thinking about it. He frowns, considers her plan and shrugs. "Works for me."

"Laser tag, with explosions. Why don't they do that in regular laser tag places?" She's not actually addressing him while she thinks of what is either the best, or worst, business plan ever. She may know what she's doing with this mission, but following her lead can be dangerous and often involves heights.
"I want the warehouse and the museum. You pick the third place."
Laser tag, bombs, and casing a place: an excellent day.
Within another few steps, she stops to open what should be a locked door. It looks like it should be locked, but she opens it with a quick bump, and quick handle turn. She might've taken care of this before meeting him.
Welcome to the land of things to shoot, and shit to blow up.

"Because they're all made for jackwipes who are too dumb to get the hell out of the way of the explosions." That's not the reason why, but he's sticking to his opinion.
"The fuck is that fair?" He asks. "I literally woke the hell up here this morning, got my gay-ass jumpsuit and was told to go here. I've seen like the hallway, the dining hall and this room." He's grumbling and bitching, but seriously, he has no clue what area to take.
While he doesn't know they're casing a place, he agrees that laser tags and bombs make a pretty good day, kidnapping aside.
He just assumes she's got the key because she's running this training mission. He's so clueless today, not that he'd object to her picking the lock. Niall taught him that particular skill when he was a little kid because 'it was a good skill to have in one's arsenal'.
He's pleased to be here and he'll take the guided tour.

"Don't people know almost everything explodes?" Silly, normal people.
While Parker wouldn't insult herself by needing a key, she is insulted by his refusal to pick. If she didn't know a place, she'd shout out something like mainframe room or bank, or airducts. "Fine, don't pick. Geez." Here she thought she'd said the right thing, for once. Maybe she should go back to writing things down -- this one liked the first note she'd written.
If he's not going to pick, she's not going to wait for him to grab things that explode. Grabbing a laser sight, she turns it on to check if it's working.
The laser hits Ronan in the chest. "Hey! I won!" She's laughing at her own joke. It's hilarious to her.

"Add enough gas and fire, it all does," Ronan says in agreement. He snorts at her offense at him not picking. "Fine. Maintenance. Public bathrooms." Because blowing a toilet up is always fun and he assumes there's a maintenance room and public bathrooms here. Oh, she didn't say the wrong thing. Ronan is just being his normal abrasive self. The sky is blue and humans breathe oxygen.
When she starts grabbing things, so does he even if he's not entirely sure what he's grabbing. He smirks at her 'joke'. "Best two out of three," he waggles his eyebrows at her.

"So many accelerants, so many different colours." So much one can do with fire, it's like art.
"You're letting me win?" She sounds like a little kid promised Hagen-daaz.
no subject
"So little time," he adds as he starts grabbing things. He snorts at her next comment. "Game isn't over yet, Blondie."
no subject
"Depends how you organize it." It's a throwaway comment, but Parker does have some experience with this.
She snorts back, perfectly happy with her haul of weapons. She doesn't bother with safety equipment because that's for losers. She does, on the other hand, pick out all the green dye used to mark suspects wanted for interrogation. It'll leave a hell of a bruise to anyone hit with it, but it won't permanently hurt anyone. Think of it as painball on steroids.
"Game's barely started. We have lots of stuff to destroy." If there's extra collateral damage, that's a good thing, right?
no subject
Ronan grunts a little at that. He doesn't have anything to add to it, not really.
They're brilliant conversationalists. Ronan doesn't really bother with safety equipment either. He figures it's laser tag, how unsafe can it be? And he knows how to hide when he blows things up.
"This day could be so much worse," he says as they start out of the room.
