Daycycle 122 [ January 15 - January 21]

daycycle 122

[Jan 15 - Jan 21]

[OOC Plotting for this Dacycle can be found here.]

Early, Early Morning [0200 - 0400]
At approximately 0200, several explosive devices planted in Technical Services by PURGE will detonate, damaging several memobanks. In a rush to prepare for the morning upload several Technicians will mistakenly put the wrong memories in the wrong banks. They will catch their mistake before the final upload, but as a result several memories will now be shared across different alpha citizens' consciousnesses. These memories will be experienced as dreams and characters will retain knowledge of them when they wake.

Memory Swap Pairs
  • Adam Parrish - Derek Hale
  • Zatanna Zatara - Oliver Queen
  • Steve Rogers - Ronan Lynch
  • Katniss Everdeen - Matt Murdock
  • Morgana LeFey - Tony Stark
  • Clint Barton - Allison Argent
  • Isabelle Lightwood - Lydia Martin
  • Buffy Summers - Barry Allen
  • Emma Swan - Parker
  • Cisco Ramon - Gracie Cannell
  • Natasha Romanoff - Jack Harkness
  • Primrose Everdeen - Alcide Herveaux

Room 1101 will be woken up at 1200 when a squadron of Internal Security Gray Ops come to arrest Bucky Barnes for treason. He will be led away at gun point and his roommates, Ronan Lynch, Adam Parrish and Oliver Queen will be immediately taken into IntSec for questioning. They will be questioned about the activities of their former roommate for several hours before being sedated and returned to their room before 0500. Bucky's roommates will not remember his arrest or their questioning when they wake, though they may feel the lingering active effects of the sedative for several hours into their day.

The memory of Bucky Barnes having ever been present in Alpha will be erased with varying degrees of success from all those he came into contact with.

Early Morning [0800 - 0900]All Troubleshooters Report for Duty

No Specials will be selected for a mission today.

Morning & Afternoon [0900 - 1600]Service Firm Positions
All Troubleshooters not assigned a mission should report to their Service Firm for their daily duties.

At 0900 it will be discovered that the shooter from Steve Roger's assassination attempt has, ironically, been assassinated along with her guards in Armed Forces the night before. The letters mod will be left written in the shooter's blood along her cell wall.

Evening [1600 - 2200]Citizen Improvement
All Alpha citizens are encouraged to better themselves through Alpha’s wide variety of educational, entertainment and cultural opportunities offered each evening. Attending these sanctioned events are not mandatory, but is highly encouraged by The Computer. Citizens choosing not to take advantage of these opportunities, have a growing number of other options available to them in how to spend their hard earned credits and free time.

Tonight’s event will be at 1900 in the Commissary and will be overseen by Clint Barton. Izzy Lightwood from Medical Services has been assigned to assist him in giving a demonstration on basic first aid and wound care.

Alpha Curfew Restrictions
All Alpha citizens should be in their quarters within the Wagon Wheel by 2200, unless they’ve been given permission from a GREEN or higher clearance level citizen. Sleeping Aid gas is dispelled each night in the Wagon Wheel at 2200 to assist citizens in getting a productive sleeping period.

Confession Booths
There are hundreds of confession booths available around Alpha Complex if a citizen would like to communicate directly with the computer. Please use these confession booths to report mission statuses, report treason or terrorist acts, unregistered mutants, confess your trespasses against Alpha Complex, request propaganda or speak with Your Friend, The Computer, at any time.

Clint leads her through a little maze of corridors to a place she's familiar with even without secrecy - the R&D sector. Everything he's doing has a point and she's smart enough to pick up on that, but the meandering way he takes helps throw anyone who'd even think about following them off their scent and also ensures the Computer doesn't see Specials coming into this area often, if at all. Because they're not going to the main offices of the sector or even the firing ranges they've both used in the past (and that he works in), but rather the warehouses they have no business being in.

Warehouse 113 is run down, kind of dilapidated, and obviously not in regular use. When they get there, Clint waits in hiding for a count of five before giving Allison a small push on her shoulder, indicating she should go in the door, before waiting another ten and then following her just to make sure no one saw them. The boxes that are scattered around are easily avoided and the office at the back of the building accessed - and at that point he does something he keeps hidden from her, and the concealed door pops out of the wall. Once she goes through, he follows, closing it behind them before they troop down to the basement.

Once there, Clint can't help but heave a sigh of relief and shake his head a bit, because it's always risky coming here. They can't draw attention to this place, have it be found and have them all arrested for treason, so there's always caution and sneaking around. He's used to that, but it's also worse when you're covering for two people. "I'll teach you how to get in here on your own when we leave. You earned it. But welcome to the secret base."

As they walk, Allison's eyes dart around their surroundings, making sure that no one is lurking around in the shadows. Because, yes, they should be paranoid about people following them, but she wouldn't put it past someone hiding and ready to attack anyone that was ready to go down an unexplored area of the complex.

Even if Allison has already been down to HQ, she doesn't say anything to Clint. She just continues walking, her steps quiet along the corridors so that she won't give away the fact that they are 'exploring' where they probably shouldn't be. Allison has become a pro at being light on her feet, making her footsteps as quiet as possible; back home she used to use it for tracking and sneaking into places where she shouldn't be, and here... Well. That practice of sneaking into places where she shouldn't be had come in handy.

Once the door is closed, Allison's own shoulders relax slightly at the fact that they had made it without being caught. Although she has already been down here thanks to Lydia, she doesn't say anything about it to Clint. Maybe it's lying by omission and lying isn't something she has done to Clint,, but she recognizes the level of trust that it's taking for Clint to show her to a place that not everyone knows exists. She appreciates that display of trust more than she can say.

"Thanks," she says with a sincere smile. "You come down here a lot?"

Whenever she tells him that she already knew about the place, he'll just accept it. It's not like he's got a monopoly on it - hell, he wasn't even nearly the first person to be in it, since so many Specials woke up in Alpha before him. But Allison's the first one he's come to trust enough that he didn't already know that he wants her to know about this place, and given that they're about to have a talk that likely neither of them wants overheard...

Yeah, best option is the Headquarters.

"When I can - it's not safe to come here a lot, give them more chances to find this place. But Steve and a couple others found it after they woke up, and it's about the only place to really be safe here. Come on, I wanna show you something."

The place is kind of ramshackle, obviously not meant for long-term occupation, but there is stuff in it. It's like a haphazard Cold War bunker in America, more or less, and there's a small stack of crates with the REDimeal label along one wall, stuck off in the corner. Clint makes his way over there, hauling down the one at the top of the stack, and lifts the lid. It's three-quarters full of various weapons, from the standard Alpha laser pistols to what are probably types of small bombs, and he nods at the pile. "You're gonna need to be able to defend yourself - take something small and concealable that you can get rid of or explain away if you get caught with it. Something's going on - things are gonna get worse here before they get better."

She nods as if to say she understands and agrees that this place is safe. It's one reason why she tends to find her way down here more often than not, even if she probably shouldn't based on what Clint says about the hideout being discovered if it's frequented a lot.

As she follows Clint, she tucks her hands into her pockets and watches him as he pulls out a crate. She isn't sure what to expect but, when she sees the weapons, her expression brightens as a small smirk tugs at her lips. "Wow. Nice collection."

At his offer to take something small and concealable, she picks up a pistol almost as if to measure how hard it would be to carry without it showing, before setting it down to pick up a small bomb instead. "You don't happen to have any ring daggers, do you? Because that'd be my preferred one."

Well, not really. Her preferred one would be at least a crossbow, but it's not like that would be easily tucked away.

"You know, you gotta find a hobby to keep yourself busy here." It's a quip, a throwaway comment, but he's also dead serious about that. His normal hobbies aren't something he can practice here, aside from archery, and he's careful not to do that every day so as not to make the Computer suspicious about it being any more than an activity he favors. And even then he's careful to "miss" certain shots, though not nearly as many as someone with only passable skill in that area.

It's all deceptions and layers one of top of another, time and time again. He probably needs a break, but there's just no chance of getting one here.

Clint shakes his head at her question, though. "Nothing like that - they don't really like the 'surprise' weapons here." Not that he's surprised by that, really. The Computer doesn't like people having the ability to hide things from it, and weapons are a big no-no. "How do you feel about throwing daggers? I've got a couple sets of those." They're his second weapon of choice, much more concealable than his first, so of course he went for those when they came across his desk.
