DAYCYCLE 5
[ NOV 16-20 ]
MORNING
You wake to yet another exciting day in Alpha Complex at 0600, but you may immediately sense that something is off. Your mind is muddled and it takes you a moment to remember where and who you are. But even that is uncertain, because if you think hard enough, you can remember people calling you other names. In fact, you can remember a singular, life changing memory that makes no sense when you compare it to all of the others that you possess…
Heads are going to roll at the MemoMax facility. Apparently, last night instead of downloading memories, someone hit the upload switch instead. Each Alpha Complex citizen now possesses life changing memories from another citizen’s life. This doesn’t make much difference for the majority of Alpha’s citizens, but makes a big difference for the Specials who possess the glitch that left them with past memories. Enjoy this window into a stranger’s life while you can, by midnight tonight the MemoMax facility will be under new management and memories will be restored to normal.
Ray Palmer and Alec Hardison are pulled from the morning briefing for interrogation regarding Maria Hill and her recent actions.

Random thief memories for Matt Ferrall
She's strong because she hangs off buildings by her fingertips.
Parker's pretty odd.
And here's how she cured her fear of the dark.
So, she saw a horse kill a clown, and blew up her foster home for her rabbit.
And let's poke an Eliot!

Flash Memory for Gaius Maecenas
Re: Flash Memory for Gaius Maecenas
Also apologies because Maecenas is not really overflowing with scenes of his own, but here's a few good shots of him being snarky in the background for you.

Re: Flash Memory for Gaius Maecenas
No worries about spoilers. I watched Rome because of Gauis. Best reason, tbh. It was so good. I really should watch it gain. Also, I might find some clips of Barry being ridiculous with girls he likes just so Gauis can guide him.
Re: Flash Memory for Gaius Maecenas
Yeeey Rome is awesome <3
Aw Barry yes, but also no bb don't listen to this asshole XD

Sorry this might be sort of fail, lemme know if anything needs changing :D
Dick headed to breakfast feeling a lot more melancholy than he had since arriving here, even the usual drive to investigate and work this place out wasn't quite up at it's usual standard, instead lingering at the back of his mind while he couldn't get those strange thoughts out of his head. The memories definitely weren't his, while the whole thing had been from 'his' perspective and while he remembered it like he'd been there, could recall the sights and the sounds as if it had just happened last week, it was definitely not something that had ever happened to him, he was pretty sure about that - the era, the plane, the hands he'd seen when he looked down, none of it was his... so whose was it? And why was it in his head, real enough to make him feel the heartbreak as if he'd lived it himself?
He took a seat at the table and stared down at his own, much smaller, younger hands. They looked wrong somehow, even though the rest of his memories matched up the way they should, this one had such an impact on him that he just wasn't sure what to make of it. He was so caught up in his thoughts he didn't even notice who he was sitting beside, until his gaze drifted sideways and he recognised the person sitting there, for a split second of confused memories it felt like looking in a mirror.
This is so perfect.
Steve had spent his entire first week laying low, barely even interacting with Bucky, and attempting to find out if the information they'd fed him on day one could be verified. During that week, there were a few things he had counted on never changing, including his memories.
But these were indisputably real, but at the same time, they weren't him. He'd been younger, he knew both by the size of his body and his desire to impress what might have been his father. But he was also more agile, even by Captain America standards. Performing the trapeze, the memories of his parents-
No. Someone's parents.
-he could still see the look in their eyes when he fell. Walking to breakfast that morning, Steve felt so much bigger and bulkier in his body than before. Even after the serum was injected, and his body went through such a drastic change, it still felt like his. Getting his food and sitting down both felt unnatural.
That's when he felt the gaze of the kid next to him. He even tried not to look for a second or two, until he finally turned and a mixture of strangeness and familiarity swelled in his chest.
I genuinely wanted to pounce on this much sooner, so sorry
No worries I'm slow sometimes too

OR...
Lydia restores her boyfriend's humanity, watches him die, and watches him reborn as a werewolf (the clarity is awful, but if Ray knows Roy at all, then he'll recognize the face, because it's the same actor for Roy Harper and Lydia's boyfriend Jackson)
Lydia finds out she's a banshee (also kind of poor quality but not the worst)
Lydia feels her best friend die (sorry for the awful quality, but I couldn't find a better one anywhere.)
ETA: did you want to thread something with this or no?
♥♥♥ /drags you out of hiding (and lmk if anything in here needs changing)
Truth be told, he's been out of sorts since waking up in Alpha Complex. The duties he'd been assigned? Sure, easy enough. And he somehow doesn't sweat being treated like a leper by the majority of the other REDs. But the constant interrogations and the loss of people he'd only just begun to get to know had already been enough to tip him over.
Now, the scream and the name Allison ring through his head; an impossible dream that somehow aligns with feelings of loss he'd been fighting with. A dream that doesn't feel like a dream, not with the way it lingers even now. Dreams fade. This is more ... permanent.
It's these thoughts that occlude Ray's physical vision, sending him into Lydia's path with his head stuck in the past.

Always her intellect coming to the forefront; Lydia was a genius and she knew that, but there was a difference between using her intelligence to save her friends the way the glitch would have suggested — not that she had been successful; she remembered clutching at her chest that morning, too, like her heart had stopped for just a moment when the loss of life had squeezed against it to make her aware — and using it to save a whole city. Science. It seemed to be a common theme to her. In the glitch, she remembered making self-igniting molotov cocktails like it was second nature to her. In her dream, there were concept she didn't fully understand, but at least grapsed; white star matter. Plasma. In this compound, she had been assigned to forensics and there had to be a reason for that.
Lydia walks through the halls on her way to the TopWare party just for a reason to get out of the room, but her heart isn't in it. She's still trying to sort out dreams from memories from glitch residual and she's so lost in it, eyes on the floor and body moving on autopilot, that she doesn't see the man coming until his feet reach her peripheral and it's too late then because the momentum of both of their forward movements is too much for her to stop short enough. Lydia bumps right into him.
"Oh, God...I'm sorry," she apologizes quickly, looking sheepishly up at him; he's tall. Taller than her, anyway. "I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, I'm really sorry."

So it's an apology that comes out immediately and though it's practiced, the way Ray slows down and takes stock is borne of real concern. His hands flit about before clasping in front of him, some weird urge to steady Lydia by the shoulders squelched with minimal effort.
"Oh-- you're new, right? Well, new-ish. Technically we're all new it's just there's been a lot of-- uh, turnover lately." As one of only three women among the specials, now? Unfortunately Lydia stands out a bit. He holds his hand out to her, accompanied with a smile to hopefully glaze over the fact that two of his friends have now been carted off for treason. Were Ray a bit more discerning he might start to worry about his reputation. Or that he's cursed somehow.
"Lydia, isn't it? I'm Ray. Ray Palmer. I'm sorry I didn't get to introduce myself earlier."

Memory for Hardison
He had to hide the texts somewhere they could be found by the right person and not a member of the council. The Church was set to be torn down and rebuilt, and by now, all those important texts had been erased from the system. If he lost the drive in his hand, they would be lost forever. He couldn't bear the thought of the Earth being forgotten that way.
His Sector had been re-purposed, and he no longer had a place there. But Arty refused to turn himself in for reassignment. There were rumours of what happened to the people who did, and those rumours included everything from brainwashing to death and imprisonment. He did not want to end up like the people the High Council had sentenced to death when he was still a boy.
There was only one place he could think to hide the drive. The office of his former mentor, Father Emvee. He slipped into the office, past as many of the frightened and frantic members of his sector as he could get through unnoticed, and tucked the drive away in his notebook. He would have to find a new one to try and recreate what was lost in. The Broken Texts that had never been put in digital form. But it was time to let go of this one. He had to trust that whatever Higher Power watched over the ever migrant humans in space would look after the drive, and the future of his people.
With the drive secure in the notebook, he tucked it away in the Father's hidden safe and locked it tight. He managed to replace the panel hiding it from view, just as one of the Discontentment Management Guards broke into the room.
"Don't attempt to flee, Citizen. You are being collected for reassignment. There is nothing to fear." The words offered Arty little comfort, but at least the drive would be safe, there. And perhaps Father Emvee would be able to find it, if he ever emerged from hiding.
"Very well, Sister." He offered his former sector sibling a thin smile and got to his feet. Better to face his enemies with grace than anger. It was not their fault they were being misguided. His smile was met with an unnecessarily rough slam of the handle of her biopistol to his temple, and Arty's world went black.

But if you need more, I will happily write you some. Also, I will hit up Arty in the commissary so they can thread a little if you'd like (and I haven't already weighed you down with too many threads).
