DAYCYCLE 5 [ NOV 16-20 ]

DAYCYCLE 5

[ NOV 16-20 ]

MORNING

You wake to yet another exciting day in Alpha Complex at 0600, but you may immediately sense that something is off. Your mind is muddled and it takes you a moment to remember where and who you are. But even that is uncertain, because if you think hard enough, you can remember people calling you other names. In fact, you can remember a singular, life changing memory that makes no sense when you compare it to all of the others that you possess…

Heads are going to roll at the MemoMax facility. Apparently, last night instead of downloading memories, someone hit the upload switch instead. Each Alpha Complex citizen now possesses life changing memories from another citizen’s life. This doesn’t make much difference for the majority of Alpha’s citizens, but makes a big difference for the Specials who possess the glitch that left them with past memories. Enjoy this window into a stranger’s life while you can, by midnight tonight the MemoMax facility will be under new management and memories will be restored to normal.

Ray Palmer and Alec Hardison are pulled from the morning briefing for interrogation regarding Maria Hill and her recent actions. Hardison is released after a brief session, but Ray is subjected to almost an hour of questioning due to him being the common link between recently convicted traitor Abbie Mills and Maria Hill.

No missions are issued to any of the specials today.

All other Troubleshooters: You are to report to your Service Firm positions for the day, until called on for Troubleshooter duty.

AFTERNOON

There is an R&D Synovation conference today beginning at noon. R&D Project Directors host these conferences so researchers can share ideas and show off their latest triumphs. However, because R&D researchers tend to be highly secretive about their work, many present bogus projects and inaccurate data, to throw off their jealous rivals. All citizens at a clearance level of RED or higher are invited to attend.

EVENING

There will be a TopWare party in the Troubleshooter’s common room at approximately 1800. Come see the wonders of TopWare and all it’s capable of! Bring your ME cards.

Sleep aid gas is expelled into the sleeping quarters at 2100.

"You don't understand, citizen. There has been a mix up somewhere. Even if the Bio Sector did clone me with intent to reassign me, this is not the Aspiration and I need to know what vessel I am on."

Arty knew he sounded crazy. He could tell from the looks the people in red like himself were giving him. He knew he must have been captured at some point or other, and either this was all part of a brainwashing session, or Bio Sector really had cloned him into a new body and somehow messed up. There were memories in his head that did not belong there, and they were almost too overwhelming to consider.

"I was transferred out of the Armed Sector. I can not be put back in without High Council approval, and I know they would not approve such a thing." But he was talking to the air now. The Red he had been attempting to get answers from had left him to his own 'insanity', and he was left staring at his ME card with a frown. Credits were nothing new, though being attached to a card was a strange development. And he had never been allowed a communication device prior to the rebellion, so why would he have one now?

Did they expect him to try to contact the People's Choice? He may have been desperate but he was no idiot. He would not endanger them by trying to make contact.

He took a deep breath and covered his eyes with one hand, attempting to find his center. He needed to be calm to deal with things rationally, and he could not allow himself to react with fear or anger. It likely looked a bit suspicious and unusual when he took a seat to clasp his hands together and bow his head, his words soft and quiet.

"If ever I needed your counsel before, it was never so much as I need it now, Father."

Waking up with a head full of memories that didn't belong to him was disorienting to say the least and Matt was quiet during breakfast, trying to sort through what was his and what wasn't, which didn't do much aside from eventually giving him a headache.

The rest of the day wasn't all that much better, his focus more or less shot which left him escaping the office to disappear into one of the lounges and close his eyes for a while. The drugged sleep was good and all, but he'd have much rather been able to control his own sleeping schedule.

By the time the day ended, he was more than ready to find some sort of distraction, though.

Barry makes his way around the conference, marvelling at the different advances in technology that have been made here. They've taken 3D Printing to a new level all together, creating things out of cinder block that should've taken years to build, but is being built in front of his eyes in a matter of hours. One such display is a recreation of roman architecture. It's about knee height, but the detail level is amazing, complete with the columns and art work. It brings back his dreams from the night before. Or at least he thinks they were dreams. Even though they feel about as real as his memories of Cisco and Caitlyn do.

He's staring at the printer as it moves, completing the roof of a temple and replaying the dream over and over in his head again. It's startling how clear it is, even now. More than that, the emotional connection he feels to Octavian and Agrippa. Had it been a dream after all?
