Izzy isn't sure if she's relieved that she's not the only one in the dark in this situation...or if it just makes her wonder even more about what the hell happened. She doesn't like being left in the dark. As somewhat of a genius (and not just the self-proclaimed kind), she's used to having the answers, or at least being able to find them. This, she's not sure how she's going to get the answers that she definitely wants. She doesn't like being made to forget.
She doesn't like anything tampering with her mind, and that's obviously what happened here...at least to some sort of degree.
"Damn." Escapes before Izzy can keep it held in, purposeful in keeping the paperwork in her own hands straightened up. And relatively tidy as she adds to it. She knows that Barry is right. He's got to be. Why else would the powers that be rob people of their memories. They're trying to keep her and Barry from something that could be dangerous to them. Which means it'd give the two Specials leverage, a means of escape, or something else that the Computer doesn't want them having. It only makes Izzy want it even more, unfortunately.
"Absolutely. It's in the best interest of Alpha Complex...in some way." Izzy looks up at Barry finally. Her tone is light, and she's purposefully choosing her words. However, the look on her face says it all. Tone and face don't match here. What's in the best interest for the Computer and Alpha Complex...is obviously not always what's in the best interest of the people who are stuck here. "Which means it could be anything from dangerous information or dangerous access that we're being protected from." Izzy's learned over time that when you're being monitored if you speak in flippant and/or lighter tones--'showing' that you aren't interested or are compliant that way--it gets you in less trouble. So, she's being careful, or at least trying despite the fact that she's curious by nature.
Picking up the last few bits of paper near her (considering her significantly shorter reach than Barry), Izzy finally stops after a moment, to focus on the other forensics expert in this place. "Asking you that was really only a part of the reason I stopped by, along with opportunity." Izzy jokes, trying not to linger. She can pick his brain later, potentially, about this whole thing, which is the message she tries to convey with her face. "I'm helping with the Charity Ball, and I'm signing up volunteers for the auction. You wouldn't be interested in auctioning off a dance or two for a good cause, would you?"
