If the circumstances could be different, Prim being in Alpha Complex is one of the last things that Katniss would ever want. But this is only way they’ll ever be together again. More than that, this is the only chance her sister has of ever getting to live to see her fourteenth birthday. The Computer’s decisions are doubtful at best but in bringing Prim here, It did something right.
“White on rice?” Katniss asks and then shakes her head. That’s not important. She thinks that she understands the gist of what he has to say anyway. It’s how she feels every time she has to part from her sister; that she should be by her side all the time. That if she had before, back in Panem, then maybe Prim wouldn’t have been killed. “We’re in different rooms. And we have different jobs.
