Adam feels relieved that Matt doesn't push it too much. Yes, things work differently here. But at the same time, Adam is Adam and he wouldn't want to press charges no matter where they were. It actually took Ronan almost getting arrested back home for Adam to finally do something about his dad. In the vein of Adam standing up for himself, it's always been about Ronan, whether that's a positive thing or not.

This is no different. And Matt's words sooth some of those worries. He's felt very alone lately, raw and as if everyone can see him when he's so accustomed to being invisible. If Matt means what he says, which time will tell, then Adam isn't so alone. Neither is Ronan.

"Lynch. It's Ronan Lynch." Matt probably has no idea how much Adam is putting himself out there by giving out Ronan's name to anyone. But Ronan took care of Adam by confessing. Adam is taking care of Ronan by doing this. "And... thanks for this."
