Most of the time, Katniss tends to be extremely self-conscious. She doesn't consider herself all that pretty, or all that smart or very nice. She doubts her voice is nearly as good as people claim. There are a lot of things she tends to be uncomfortable about. But when it comes to dancing, even without the influence of the drugs in her system, she doesn't hesitate. Dancing comes naturally. It's like that for most people from District 12. They don't have much in the way of wealth or freedom, but they could dance.
Although he tries to protest, Katniss can tell that it's completely half-hearted. She keeps the puppy dog eyes going a little longer, enjoying his reaction. Now she's teasing him more than actually begging. He's not nearly as intimidating as some of their clients say she is. Then again, Katniss has never been easily intimidated.
"Yeah, really," she says, smiling sweetly at him. "You keep doubting me."
Albeit with good reason. Not that Katniss realizes that right now. Since he's not really fighting her, she picks up the pace a little before she starts to sing a song that she'll definitely regret later.
