Ronan wants to buy things for Adam. He could give two shits about buying stuff for himself. Everything he's purchased, with the exception of one gas mask for himself, is for Adam.
Principle doesn't get one very far here. In fact, Ronan would say it doesn't get one far anywhere, but that's not an argument he'll breach with Adam right now. If Ronan could dream him things here, he'd do that, but since he can't....the black market is the second best thing.
He nods a little, grunting his version of 'you're welcome' then pulls out a notebook and a pen, passing those over to Adam. Those are quickly followed by a small black light that looks like a flashlight and a ink refill. "The refill is invisible. The one in there is black ink. The light lets you read the invisible ink when you shine it on there."
He says it in Latin, just to make sure the computer can't catch them.
