It's moments like these that Allison wishes she knew places like the one Lydia had taken her to so she and Derek could talk without having to used hushed tones in the middle of a crowd. Which is weird to think about, wanting to go anywhere with Derek to willingly talk, but this isn't the time for petty grudges, or bad blood that could still remain between a Hale and an Argent. They have a common enemy and a common goal - right now, it's more important to figure out how they can join forces. Because, she may have some hesitation about trusting Derek, but she knows none of that will help any of them if they want to be stronger together.
There's a sense of relief that kicks in when she realizes that Derek doesn't ask more about how long it had taken for her to get out of the whole arrival treatment, and she gives a barely noticeable nod as he speaks. Because, yep, that's pretty much how she sees it, too. Allison hasn't been around enough to see the aftermath of an attack like the bombing from earlier today, but she herself knows the mess that can be done by letting your emotions dictate how you react to things. Hell, she had fallen for Gerard's tricks that way. She had hurt Isaac, and Scott. She had messed up, plain and simple, and she wonders how long it's going to take for people to get that before they stop with pointless demonstrations that just gets innocent people hurt instead of hitting their actual target.
"Then we can find a way to use them as a distraction," she answers quietly, glancing over at him as she leans towards him as well. She's careful to keep a safe sort of distance, something that won't give them away from anyone watching, which is why she smiles in a friendly manner, as if they're just enjoying the ceremony and she's making a passing comment instead of mentioning something that would definitely land her on the traitor list.
"You and I know that, if something is done, it has to be done in a way that hits the core and can be effective. Anyone can make things explode, we'd just need to figure out where and how we can do that." We. Derek had told her about the change in his genetic make up in a way to show her that he wasn't a threat here, and she uses that wording to show him that she's willing to bury the hatchet that might still remain between them so they can do this. Her concern is Lydia, and Stiles. Her goal is to get them home and, if they can also help innocent people along the way, then she'd do it. Including teaming up with Derek Hale.
