He tries again, understanding the words but having no idea why they're being directed at him. He's never been a Malcolm Merlin in his past, and he's given up on the idea of trying to blend in, to have a normal life. "All right, Barry. Why don't you tell me about Malcolm?" He claps the kid on the shoulder once, and uses a little push to be able to side step him and keep on down the corridor. "While we walk." It's technically possible that this kid is from a point in his future when he's decided to start keeping cover identities again, but very doubtful. You really only need a cover if you plan on staying. Staying never ends well.
