She can also blame it on the fact that her coffee is horrible coffee. In fact, Buffy isn't sure it's actual coffee. She thinks maybe it's some sort of depression era version, not that she knows anything about the depression era, but she remembers Angel talking about it once and then there was history class...nope. She knows nothing about the depression era. Scratch that. In any case, Allison has lots of reasons for not realizing Buffy is there until she's actually being spoken to.

She shrugs a little and gives her a 'sorry' sort of expression. As for being dead, yes. A couple of times, in fact, but not at the moment she last remembers in 'her' world. "A week or so? Time is wonky in here." That's what Allison needs: the assurance that something else is weird here. "I'd say it gets better...at least you make friends and figure out...as much as you can...what's going on?"

Maybe Buffy shouldn't join the Welcome Wagon.
