He hasn't been able to see Lydia long enough to really notice that the smile falls short of her eyes and really, if he were thinking further ahead than a few minutes at a time, he might be able to guess that she's disappointed. It's not that he doesn't want her to stay the night with him, more that he still worries she'll get caught.

"That sounds like the perfect way to spend the rest of the night," he smiles ever so slightly at her.
