"I have used them. I pick up on them fast enough, generally." They had to be adaptive in the war. Never knew when the codes might have to be changed in case they were compromised. Usually it was something for the higher ups in the chain of command, but he had dealt with them before, especially once he started working with Steve on more specialized operations.

"The closer to normal we can make it the less likely people are to catch on that we're using one." He kept his voice just as low. This was a matter not to be overheard and they were not in a secure location if one even existed.

"Specific phrases with alternate meanings assigned, that sort of thing."
