Laughing, Lydia shakes her head. "Oh, well, in that case I'm very sorry I forgot to mention it. You're right, that sort of thing should absolutely be fully disclosed at the beginning of the relationship and I don't know what I was thinking," she says, grinning. "Although, to be fair, the only reason I was able to utilize my own pizza magic is because Steve and Morgana hooked me up with the ingredients and Steve had the kitchen I needed to do it, so if you can get the ingredients and the kitchen, I will work that pizza magic every day for you," she adds with a smirk.
It's a huge relief, actually, when Matt takes her hand and kisses her knuckles. She could be wrong, but she's pretty sure it's his subtle way of telling her that he heard it and he's fine with it which is a weight off her chest. The fact that he doesn't mind the pet name would suggest to Lydia that they're actually a couple and it isn't one-sided; they're not just dancing around their attraction to each other and she's not the only one emotionally invested here. Finishing up his plate, she guides it into his hands and looks around the room.
"Uhhh..." she stalls. Not really. The sofa and chairs are taken, and some people are standing or sitting on the floor. "We can take up an end of the table, hold on, I'll clear us a spot." With that, she moves away from him, a little touch to the side of his face to let him know she's going, and she starts pushing the papers and scattering of items out of the way before heading back to him with another little touch, this one to his arm. "I'm just gonna grab a plate for myself really fast," she warns him of the delay and she skips the pizza because she's already had a slice, but grabs a plateful of veggies and fruit before taking his arm with her free hand and guiding him to the other end of the table where they can sit on the rickety lab stools, or stand, and enjoy their meals without getting in anyone else's way. "You'll have to let me know if it's as good as it sounds," she says with a little smile, meaning the pizza.
