Cisco can't help himself from asking, because honestly, all he wants is to crank out this mission and see if he can't steal another half an hour of sleep before going to his troubleshooting station. Maybe if they finish early enough, he can tack on a little more, and then no one will ask questions; they'll assume his mission just ran a little longer. Not to mention, well.
