It's easy to memorize the roster. One might even say that Adam has very close to an eidetic memory although not exactly. It isn't like he can take a snapshot of information with a single glance. But he can repeat something in his mind a handful of times and remember it well enough.

He's doing that repetition thing when the woman passes behind him. By being a creepy eavesdropper, he's put a face with most of the names. He thinks this might be Felicity Smoak although he isn't a hundred percent on that. That means he needs to get that hundred percent. Knowledge is power. That's his motto.
