"Now just imagine the difference we could all make if we weren't oblivious," Matt says in a soft voice. He pauses for a moment before sighing. "Or maybe everyone would just end up dead and it's that numbness that keeps most people alive." He's not really sure. At least in his world, the whole idea of super heroes, villains and aliens have been blown wide open. No one can deny their existence anymore, but those aren't the real dangers, the ones that erode away lives and cities. The real danger consists of the horrors that people visit upon each other and those people are numb to. Those are the things that people turn away from.
