There's something momentous about what's happening and Steve can feel it. It's embedded in how new and unknown everything feels every time Tony touches him anywhere, because Steve knows that this is a decision that he can't take back. He's giving Tony his everything — but most of all his love and all of his trust — because after tonight, every single one of his firsts will belong to Tony Stark, and the thought is enough to take his breath away.
He takes that kiss not only as a yes, but also the beginning of of something new. Like Tony's hand on his hip, or the way that a few seconds later, Steve can feel Tony's fingers between his jumpsuit and his waist.
Just move with me, okay? Steve doesn't say anything, but as he tries to remember to breathe, he nods, and he knows Tony can feel the motion. God, he wonders, does Tony even know how beautiful his voice sounds? And how, when he uses it like this to be so comforting, it makes Steve wonder what he ever did to deserve this. Not just Tony, but to be given a chance again after what happened in Siberia. To be his friend again. To see another side of him. To fall so hard for him — not that he's said anything more to Tony about that ever since their first kiss.
But seeing that look in Tony's eyes, the one that tells him he's here, he has him, don't worry, it's enough to make Steve melt when their lips meet. Shortly after, Tony thrusts again, but this time he feels his own hips guided to meet Tony's just in the right way, and Steve gasps as he feels a fierce sense of desire overwhelming him. Like something that's been in the background this entire time has now been finally pushed into center stage. His eyes open wider as they look at Tony in suspense as he feels a pleasure that terrifies him, and if Tony starts moving his hips again, Steve will move with him, just like Tony asked.
Then he sees the way Tony is biting his lip and Steve feels like he's unraveling entirely. He wonders if Tony knows — he must know the effect he has on people. How absolutely gorgeous and charming he is when he wants to be. How it's hard for Steve to even take his eyes off him, because he feels like he could just stare at Tony forever and that still wouldn't be long enough.
But this time, it's Steve's turn to say yes with a kiss. A gentle, unwavering kiss, as if to say Yes. I trust you. Maybe if they weren't here and they were back home, Steve would never in a million years think that he would move this fast. But then again, if they weren't here and back home, maybe none of this would have ever happened. Fact is, they are here, in a place where no one gets married, or has children, or has any of the rules that Steve normally would insist on upholding. And this time, Steve isn't only out of his time, but he seems to be entirely out of his world.
Life is short, he once said. It's important not to waste the time you have. Especially when, just maybe, since Peggy all those years ago, Steve's starting to feel like he's finally found the right partner again.
