"I'd join you. Rocky road sounds perfect right now." It's probably a little weird that they're talking about ice cream while they're beating the shit out of people, but Allison doesn't think it's too bad. It just shows how 'used to it' they are to be involved in chaos like this.
Besides, it's not like they're letting their side conversation distract them. They're doing a good job at keeping the protestors busy while people ran off to safety, and even if she doesn't take her eyes off of the people she's fighting, every now and then she glances off to the side to make sure there's no one getting attacked without being able to defend themselves.
It's while she does that, though, that she thinks she catches sight of Kate again. She's standing there, with her throat ripped open, and staring straight at her. Allison tries to convince she's not really here - she doesn't have a jumpsuit, she looks how she did the night Peter killed her, she can't be here - but it still manages to distract her long enough for the woman she had been fighting to hit her forearm with the pipe. The pain brings her attention back into the fight, and by reflex she swings her own pipe against the woman's side with enough force to hear a rib crack.
Buffy's words makes her lips quirk slightly into a smile, trying not to let the image of Kate shake her too much even if the temptation to check and see if she's truly there wants to take over. "Thanks, Buffy. I'm really glad to be part of the team and that I get to work with you."
