Prim's arms are already moving upward, to try and shield her head from what she knows is going to be a violent onslaught. Instead, through the small bit of space between her arms, the teenager watches as a tray flies through the air, hitting the man and drawing his attention away from her. She didn't realize that she'd tensed up as much as she had, but Prim lets out a breath and uncoils ever so slightly.
She can handle keeping her cool when she's treating other people who are hurt, but imminent danger herself....she's not as brave. Instead of running, like she probably should, Prim stands where she is and watches as Jack (the charming man from the Charity Ball) slides across the table and plows into the violent predator. It's probably a good thing she didn't run, it might have made the man give chase..and if he had he wouldn't have been positioned for Jack the way that he was at that...well...impressive speed. It definitely looked, and sounded like it hurt.
"Thank you!" She just...can't help herself, calling out to the man who has saved her not once but twice now....even if the first time wasn't quite as serious. At least on on this level. And, for once, it isn't hard to fight the urge to help someone. The youngest Everdeen has no desire to help, or check on, the man that turned on her. She still does, though, have the desire to help the woman she'd spotted before. "He came up to me before I could help the woman!" Prim isn't normally one for speaking loudly, but she has to now, to be heard, though she doesn't feel great knowing that she needed the help. She's not exactly a fighter, though, and it shows as she moves tentatively, trying to look for the woman from before.
She can't fight, but she can help the injured and that's what she has to remind herself.
