She would never do that. She hates hospitals, plus she's unlikely to take a sick day when people need help. Sometimes, she wishes she were. It would be easier to be that sort of person, but Derek is right, she's just not that sort of person. She knows that he's not either.

She wouldn't ask him to take sides and she really hopes it doesn't come to any sort of 'sides' situation. They're all friends and she wants it to stay that why (which is probably one of the reasons she's dragging her feet on anything more than friends with Alcide).
