Cisco shrugs a little bit. He tries not to give Reverb much thought because it's weird and uncomfortable. It's hard to describe what it feels like to see a version of yourself that went so terribly, terribly wrong. "Nah, it just means you're a good person." Admittedly, seeing Reverb die had been a little rough on him, too, so he gets it.

He gives Gracie another little squeeze and smiles weakly. It doesn't reach his eyes. "I didn't die on this timeline. Right, so...there's an infinite number of timelines; every decision you make or thing you do can create a branch off into another timeline where you made a different choice or did a different thing."

Cisco clears his throat. "It's just that my...power, or whatever, I can like...remember things that happened to me in other timelines that I haven't and never will personally experience. And, in one timeline, someone killed me just like that. It was a nasty memory, but kind of like your memories in my head, it's there, but I never actually lived it, if that makes any sense."
