He listens, as she says she’s fine, but he see the way her eyes loose focus, like she isn’t looking at him, even if her eyes are staring right at his own.

No, she isn’t fine.

And then … there it is. Given how Steve woke up this morning, a question like that is all he needs to know what happened.

"Yes," he answers, but without detail. Coop and Lila and Nathan are Clint's details to tell, if he chooses to tell them.

But when Allison apologizes, Steve shakes his head. He hadn’t expected to do this this morning, but now that he’s here and he sees her, Steve knows that he can help. He just has to be wary of anyone who comes too close. He can’t get too close to the rest of the Specials, unless he knows they didn’t used to have an ability back home.

"You … saw some of Clint's memories last night,” he says, not as a question, but as a fact. “It happened to me too, but not with Clint. This happens, sometimes.”

He knows she’ll have questions and Steve is ready to answer them. Or, if she just looks up expectantly, he’ll keep explaining.
