"It doesn't make any sense," he admits, glancing over at her. "It seems as if this place is technologically advanced, but how can you create DNA from historical records? And even if they did, we'd be starting off with a clean slate. No memories."

And he had memories of people that were very important to him. Joe, Iris, Cisco, Caitlin... there was no way that they were just some mechanical glitch. Not to mention the loss of his speed. That wasn't some chemical imbalance making him remember things that never happened.
