The hallway had been deserted two seconds ago, so the sound of his name creeps him out. Especially because he's pretty sure a place this big has got to be a little haunted. That and Parker's voice almost sounds like a whisper compared to how she usually says his name.

He jumps, grabbing onto the ladder as it teeters at his sudden movement. "Parker, you scared me." But it's pretty clear whatever is going on, it's serious. He steps down off the ladder. "What's going on?"
