True enough and that's probably one of the best things about what Lydia is doing: shattering an aspect of the caste system. She's also giving those not from the complex a little bit of normality, allowing them to feel a little more like themselves. Matt admires what she's doing, the reasons that she's doing it.

"It's ridiculous, but I'm trying to learn a little at a time and work within the system." It's what he tries to do back home, what he'd gotten tired of doing and the reason he'd started working outside the system as Daredevil, but even then he hadn't killed any of the criminals he'd caught; he'd turned them over to the cops, to the justice system in hopes that it would work. He has to believe in justice. Otherwise, he doesn't know how to do his job. "I wish I had a better handle on it, but I hope you're right; that I do have a good instinct for that sort of thing." Back home, it would have been easy to know how the trial was going. He could have listened to heartbeats of the jury, listened in on their conversations. Here he has to rely on gut feelings. That little kiss to his temple makes him smile.

Matt has been far too busy since the ball to consider such a thing so he's glad that Lydia is considering it. "We can have dinner at my place. I'm not much of a cook, but I can put together a few things. It'll be a date." Which is something they haven't done much of here: date. He makes a sound that's a cross between a hum and a growl at her words. "I could definitely use the unwind," he tells her, leaning in to kiss her lips.
