Lydia waves a dismissive hand at that. Even if her products were practically garbage, they'd still sell once people knew they existed, just because they were mimicking the luxury which requires a much higher clearance level while being both available and affordable to the lowest clearance levels and on up. The Computer might not have realized it when it afforded her this opportunity, but Lydia's taking one aspect of their ridiculous caste system and shattering it. Thanks to Lydia, an Alpha doesn't need to be a BLUE or higher to have soap that makes them smell nice and lathers luxuriously to pamper themselves just a little. One piece of the ridiculous ladder at a time, Lydia's going to work toward equalizing the clearance levels. Things that she can control, at least.

"I still can't believe that they won't educate you on their law system and yet they expect you to perform," she sighs, shaking her head. "I mean, I do because knowing the rules is treasonous, but like Jesus Christ, you know? It's so dumb. I'm glad you feel like it's going well, though. Maybe it is. I've noticed that you tend to have a pretty good gut instinct for this sort of thing," she observes, nuzzling the tip of her nose against his temple before pressing a little kiss there.

The problem with becoming mildly famous, as the Specials have, is that Lydia is a lot more gun shy about using that GREEN jumpsuit to get into Matt's place. People might actually recognize her now, especially after the Charity Ball. "You'll have to come get me in my room and bring me to yours," she says softly, peppering more little kisses to his temple. "But I'd really like to stay at your place tonight. You could probably use the unwind," she says both knowingly and suggestively once more. "So I hope you do hold me to it, Bae," she adds playfully.
