Matt has memorized the layout of things in Lydia's store well enough that he doesn't actually need the cane that much as he steps inside. He pauses, hearing her walking toward him and smiles tiredly at her. He's grateful for the embrace and wraps an arm around her shoulders, dipping his head to press a kiss to her temple.
"Yes. We broke for a late lunch a little bit ago. I grabbed an apple at the commissary and at it on the way here." He's too nervous to eat much more than that. "How's your day going?"
He'd like to get his mind off the trial for just a little while in hopes that when he goes back, he'll be a little more clear, a little fresher. He'll be happy to talk to her about how things went later this evening.
