Lydia's eyes follow Tony's movements and she glances at the pistol with interest. It doesn't look like anything special, but she assumes that there's more to it than meets the eye because she doesn't know Tony Stark well, but she knows him well enough. A plain old run of the mill gun doesn't really seem his style.
"Tony, honey...there's nothing you could say to me that would sound crazy after some of the things I've seen back home, trust me," she says softly, waving her hand with gentle dismissal again. Her eyebrows lift, though when he continues, explaining that he's using a similar — well, more accurately a smaller — mechanism to the one in his chest keeping him alive.
She hums thoughtfully, lifting her eyebrows. "'Depending on the setting,'" she repeats, giving a facial shrug. "Care to elaborate? That makes me curious. You mean like the settings on the device or...?" she asks and waves one of her hands in a vague general movement to indicate setting as in surroundings. She knows nothing about that reactor except that he says it keeps him alive, so he could be talking about anything, really, and she'd prefer being on the same page before they continue the conversation so that she doesn't sound like an idiot or fall behind.
